Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has invited bids from various Government Organisations, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Nationalised Banks to submit bids to acquire co – branding rights of Aqua Line Metro stations.
NMRC has written to 33 Govt. Organisations / PSUs and Nationalised Banks for bidding for co-branding rights for 11 of its stations which are Noida Sec-76, Noida Sec-101, Noida Sec-81, NSEZ, Noida Sec-83, Noida Sec-143, Noida Sec-144, Noida Sec-145, Noida Sec-146, Noida Sec-147 and Depot Station.
The main purpose behind writing to these Government sector organisations is to remove the third-party mediation from a potential transaction with fellow government organizations and simplify the process. It was observed across many Indian Metros that Government organisations take the Co-Branding of Metro Stations from a third-party vendor which resulted in Government organizations paying a higher amount than required to the third party.
In this regard, NMRC is inviting various Government and Public Sector Organizations to submit their proposals for the Co-Branding Rights of one or more of the available Metro Stations across the Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor in Aqua Line. Co-Branding rights for the stations will be awarded to the organisation with the highest bid.
Some of the organisations that NMRC has written to include NTPC Ltd., ONGC, SAIL, BHEL, GAIL, NBCC, Engineers India Ltd., MTNL, Power Finance Corporation, Power Grid Corporation of India, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Shipping Corporation of India and Nationalised Banks like SBI, Bank of Baroda, PNB, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, IDBI Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and Syndicate Bank.
A meeting with these organisations regarding this has been scheduled on 24th May 2019 (Friday) at 12 PM at NMRC’s headquarters in Ganga Shopping Complex, Sector 29, Noida.
The Aqua Line comprises of 21 stations, out of which co - branding rights have been awarded to 05 stations (Noida Sec-137, Noida Sec-142, Knowledge Park – II, Pari Chowk and Alpha – 1) through open tender system to private parties. NMRC has shortlisted 11 stations from the remaining 16 stations for inviting bids from Govt. Organisations / PSUs and Nationalised Banks. The remaining 05 stations (Noida Sec-51, Noida Sec-50, Noida Sec-148, Delta-1 and GNIDA Office) will be given up for co – branding through open tendering.
Total annual revenue earned by NMRC through co-branding for these 5 stations will be Rs. 5.52 crores. The co-branding rights for these stations have been given to the licensees for a period of 10 years and the licensees will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of these stations.
