AQUA LINE TO PROVIDE DIRECT CONNECTIVITY TO AUTO EXPO; FACILITIES LIKE INCREASE IN FREQUENCY OF TRAINS, SALE OF AUTO EXPO TICKETS AND E- RICKSHAW SERVICE TO BE PROVIDED

Visitors to the Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 to be held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida from 7th – 12th February 2020 can now travel in Noida Metro Rail Corporation’s (NMRC’s) Aqua Line to directly reach the exhibition. The Knowledge Park – II metro station of the Aqua Line is the nearest Metro station to the venue.

Besides providing direct connectivity to the Auto Expo, NMRC will be providing the following facilities for the visitors of the Auto Expo:

• Direct Connectivity to Auto Expo: The Aqua Line will be connecting visitors directly to the Auto Expo venue. Aqua Line commuters can travel till Knowledge Park – II station of the Aqua Line which is the nearest Metro station to the venue (approx. 500 mts).
• Increase Frequency of the Trains: To accommodate the rush of visitors and avoid crowding at stations, NMRC will also run its trains at a frequency of 6 minutes during peak hours and 7.5 minutes during the non - peak hours for the duration of the exhibition. Currently, the trains run at a frequency of 7.5 minutes and 10 minutes during peak hours and non – peak hours respectively.
• Sale of Auto Expo Tickets at Metro Stations: To facilitate the visitors of the exhibition, NMRC is also setting up a total of six (06) counters for the sale of Auto Expo tickets at three metro stations namely Sector 51, Sector 137 and Knowledge Park – II.
• E – Rickshaw Facility from Knowledge Park – II Station to Auto Expo: NMRC will also be deploying 10 E – Rickshaws at Knowledge Park – II Metro station to ferry passengers to and fro from the Metro station to the Exhibition venue during the exhibition days at a bare minimum fare of Rs. 10 per passenger.

Parking facility is also available for the general public at 10 Aqua Line metro stations namely; Sector 51, Sector 76, Sector 101, Sector 81, sector 137, Sector 142, Knowledge Park – II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 and Delta 1

NMRC will be making announcements regarding the above facilities inside the trains and stations through public announcement system and 91.1 Radio City FM (NMRC’s official radio partner). NMRC has also set up standees at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Blue Line and Magenta Line metro stations, namely Sector 18, Botanical Garden, Sector 52 and Kalindi

Kunj to spread the information regarding these facilities for Auto Expo visitors amongst DMRC commuters.

Commuters wishing to take the Aqua Line for visiting the exhibition can use various ticketing options to travel in the Aqua Line. QR ticket can be purchased from any Aqua Line Metro station for single journeys. Commuters can also use SBI NMRC CITY 1 CARD for multiple journeys and this card can be purchased from any Metro station. Commuters can also generate QR code from NMRC’s mobile app which is available on Google Playstore and Apple iOS platforms.

DMRC commuters can also use the Aqua Line by interchanging between Sector 52 station of DMRC and Sector 51 station of Aqua Line where NMRC has constructed a dedicated walkway between the two stations alongwith providing free E – Rickshaw service on the stretch.
