Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is organizing a ‘Drawing / Painting Competition & Rangoli Competition’ for its Women Employees, Women Commuters and Trans Employees on 8th March 2021 (Monday) at the Pink Stations (Sector – 76 and Pari Chowk) from 11 AM.
Participants can choose from one of the below topics:The selected entries will be suitably awarded by NMRC. The winners will get a certificate and Prize Money.
First Prize - Rs. 2, 000/-
Second Prize - Rs. 1000
Third Prize – Rs. 750
Two Consolation Prizes – Rs. 500 each
The Colour / Rangoli / Drawing Sheets / Flower Petals will be provided by NMRC to all the contestants at Sector 76 and Pari Chowk Metro Stations.
The Prize Distribution will be done separately for all three categories i.e., NMRC’s Female Employees, NMRC’s Female Commuters and NMRC’s Trans Employees.

Women commuters of NMRC represent the empowered woman of today, who is independent, smart, a multi-tasker and a go getter. They are an unstoppable force who are achieving new heights and setting new standards for the society. They come from all walks of life. They are students who are dreaming of carving their place in the world, they are working women who are juggling both home and careers and they are housewives who are managing their households efficiently.
NMRC is organizing these competitions in order to salute and celebrate the spirit of these amazing women.
NMRC has not only reserved coaches for women commuters in its trains but has dedicated two of its stations to Women passengers to namely Sector 76 and Pari Chowk Metro Stations as Pink Stations. These Pink Stations have a number of additional facilities like Baby Feeding Room, Baby Diaper Changing Room, Make Up / Changing Room and Selfie point which helps in easing out the commute for women passengers and empowers them to manage their daily professional/personal activities in addition to their child care responsibilities. All these facilities are available for all women passengers completely free of cost.
Besides the facilities available at the Pink Stations, Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines have also been installed at all 21 stations of Aqua Line which dispense Sanitary Napkins free of cost to anyone who requires.
NMRC is one of the few Public Sector organisations in the country where participation of women is almost at par with the male employees. Women constitute almost 23% of the total workforce of NMRC and are employed for technical as well as non-technical work which includes Train Operators, Station Controllers, Administrative areas, technical maintainers, Junior Engineers, etc.
