NMRC ORGANISES PAINTING COMPETITION FOR EMPLOYEES AND PLANTATION DRIVE IN COMMEMORATION OF MAHATMA GANDHI’S 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

Noida, Sept 11, 2020

Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) today organised a Drawing / Painting Competition for its employees and a Plantation Drive in NMRC’s Depot premises in Greater Noida. These events are a part of the commemorative activities that have been planned by NMRC in line with the decision by the Government of India to commemorate the 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

NMRC employees participated in the Drawing / Painting Competition with great enthusiasm. The participants had to make a drawing / painting on any one of the following four topics:

• Swaraj Andolan
• Non – Violence
• Local Self Governance
• Swachhta Hi Sewa

During the Plantation Drive, around 50 saplings of Fruit bearing as well as Timber based trees were planted in the compound of the NMRC’s Greater Noida Depot and NMRC Staff Colony.

Senior officials and staff members were present during both the events. Special measures were taken by NMRC to ensure sanitisation of premises as well as adequate social distancing during the events,

The winners were announced by a panel of judges comprising of senior NMRC officials. A total of five (05) winners were announced, including first, second and third prize winners and two (02) consolation prize winners. The first three winners got a cash prize of Rs. 3, 000/-, Rs, 2, 500/- and Rs. 2, 000/- respectively, while the consolation prize winners got Rs. 1, 000/- each. All the winners were also given a Certificate of Appreciation.
