NMRC today shifted to its new corporate office which is basically an extension of the existing office at Block-III, 3rd Floor in the Ganga Shopping Complex, Sector 29, Noida. The Inauguration of the new office was done by Mrs. Ritu Maheshwari, Managing Director, NMRC & CEO Noida Authority in the presence of Shri P.D. Upadhyay, Executive Director, NMRC, Shri Manoj Vajpayee, General Manager (Technical), NMRC, Mrs. Kalpana Saxena, IPS (Commandant 49th PAC Battalion) and other senior officials and employees of the Corporation and Noida Authority.
Shifting to a new, bigger office is a move towards expansion of NMRC in terms of growth in operations which necessitates increase in work records as well as accommodating more staff in the years to come. New Office has been renovated with modern amenities with safety as top priority as the new office space is well equipped with fire safety equipments.
Improved version of NMRC Website was also launched by MD, NMRC on the occasion.

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) was incorporated on 05th November, 2014 under the Indian Companies Act, 2013 as a Government Company to provide a world class transport facility to the residents of Gautam Buddha Nagar district. NMRC is a joint venture of the Govt. of India (GoI) and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP).
The construction work of Aqua Line Corridor commenced in the May, 2015 and got completed in record time by December, 2018 and the project was finally flagged off by the Chief Minister of U.P. and Minister of State (I/C) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on January 25, 2019. The revenue/commercial operations of the corporation commenced on 26th day of January, 2019 when the aqua line was finally made available for the general public. The present corridor i.e. the aqua line corridor of the Company is stretched around 30 kms comprising of total 21 metro stations starting from sector 51 metro station in Noida and ending on depot station in Greater Noida.
The financial support for the project has been received from Central Govt., U.P. Govt., Noida and Greater Noida Authorities and NCR Planning Board. As on date, Government of India holds 69.62% equity capital and State Govt. (through Noida and GNIDA) holds 30.38% equity capital
Operation and Maintenance (O&M) work of the aqua line metro corridor is carried out by the engineers of NMRC and DMRC.
In addition to the operations of the aqua line corridor, the Company also operates the city bus services on various routes in Noida and Greater Noida. Further, in order to augment the revenue of the Corporation, the company has taken various non-farebox initiatives which includes multi modal integration, co-branding and film shooting on NMRC premises.
As per the latest audited financial statements of the Company for the year ended March 31, 2019 the Company has generated a total income of INR 80.91 Crores (Income from operations as well as other income).
Top 5 stations in terms of daily average revenue and daily average ridership are Sector 51, Pari Chowk, NSEZ, Knowledge Park and Sector 142.
The average daily ridership in January, 2019 (26th January onwards) was 11,852 and has increased to 21, 862 in November, 2019 (updated till 15th November, 2019). The Company witnessed a record ridership of 39, 451 commuters on 19th, September, 2019.
The average daily revenue rose from INR 3.6 Lakhs in January, 2019 to INR 6.34 Lakhs in November, 2019 (updated till 15th November, 2019) and recorded highest ever earning of INR 11.97 Lakhs on 19th September, 2019.
City bus service operation of the corporation was inaugurated by the then CM of Uttar Pradesh on 14th December, 2016 with an aim to provide world class road transport facility to the commuters of Noida-Greater Noida.
In the first phase, 50 AC CNG Low floor buses have been floated on 11 routes between Noida and Greater Noida. The buses are equipped with GPS System, panic button, special facility for women and specially abled with installed CCTV Cameras. The buses are monitored by UPSRTC. Approximately 10,000 passengers avail the services of city bus on daily basis. The minimum fare is INR 11 and the maximum fare is INR 51.
Considering the commuter’s safety as the priority, the safety and security of the entire metro network is being looked after by 49th Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and private security agency. Presently around 727 no. of personnel(s) have been deployed for security and safety of Aqua Line Corridor.
