Shri Praveen Mishra, Executive Director, Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) conducted a detailed inspection of the complete Aqua Line today. Accompanying him were ShriRavindra Saxena, Chief Operating Officer (NMRC), Shri Manoj Vajpayee, General Manager(NMRC), Mrs. Kalpana Saxena, IPS (Commandant 49th PAC Battalion), Shri V. P. S. Komar, OSDto MD (NMRC) and other senior officers of NMRC and PAC.
NMRC also ran the full train trials of the trains according to the time table that will be followed from 7th September onwards.
Shri Mishra inspected all the systems essential in smooth functioning of the Metro system in detail. He also checked the preparedness of NMRC staff deployed at the stations to handle the rush of passengers and ensuring the adherence to the guidelines.
Shri Mishra was satisfied with the preparations made by NMRC and also gave his invaluable suggestions regarding the arrangements made for the public by NMRC.
Masks will be available on payment basis at selected Metro Stations for Aqua Line CommutersIn order to facilitate Aqua Lines commuters and provide as many facilities as possible,NMRC has set up counters at a few selected Metro stations where masks will be available onpayment basis for needy commuters for minimum of Rs. 5 and maximum Rs. 30 for each mask.The stations where these counters will be set up are Sector 51, NSEZ and Pari Chowk.
The masks are being made by Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare, an NGO being run with the support of BIMTECH (Birla Institute of Management Technology) as a means to generate livelihood for families affected by the Covid 19 pandemic. This is a way of encouraging the general public to wear masks whenever they have to travel in the Metro.
