Three Day Celebration Mark NMRC’S 7TH Foundation Day

Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) celebrated its 7th Foundation Day today on completion of 6 year of journey NMRC had a three day celebration including Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Annual Sports Competition and a colorful rangoli and cultural programme at Depot Auditorium in Greater Noida.

In order to celebrate and inculcate the team working amongst the employees, NMRC organized a Sports Event on 09th & 10th November 2021 in which NMRC employees participated with great enthusiasm and vigor. The event included a number of indoor and outdoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Blitz Chess, Race (100 mts and 400 mts), Discus Throw and Rassa Kasi (Tug of War) with total of 186 participations.

A cultural event was organized on the 12th November, 2021 by the in house talent of NMRC where in NMRC employee showcased their talent in various art forms like singing, dancing and acting etc.

Smt. Ritu Maheshwari, MD / NMRC and CEO / Noida Authority graced the celebrations with her presence.

Addressing the employees, Mrs. Ritu Maheshwari appreciated the efforts of NMRC for maintaining high standards of safety, punctuality and reliability and also efforts made during COVID Pandemic situation in providing safety to all commuters. Mrs. Maheshwari appreciated the hardwork and dedication of NMRCs employees for bringing up new initiative like Pink Station , Pride Station and training institute. She also mentioned the appreciation received by C&AG team during the audit of NMRC for the financial year 2021.

She further mentioned that ridership of NMRC was decreased to 8000 per day in CoVID time which was 26000 before COVID time. But now NMRC is touching the ridership of 20000 from October 2021 onwards.

Mrs. Maheshwari congratulated all the awardees and also urged the employees and officials try to reduce the expenditure and increase the revenue so that the NMRC can become self sustaining.

Mrs. Maheshwari also stated about new project line from Sector-51 to Knowledge Park-V which is at advance stage of approval.

Shri. Praveen Mishra, ED / NMRC and ACEO Noida Authority; Smt. Bharti Singh, Company commandant, PAC , Shri R. K. Saxena, Chief Operating Officer (NMRC); Shri Manoj Vajpayee, GM (Technical) / NMRC; Shri Pankaj Malhotra, GM (Finance) / NMRC; Shri Rajneesh Pandey, AGM (HR) / NMRC, Shri VPS Komar, OSD to MD / NMRC along with other officers and staff of NMRC and DMRC’s handholding team also attended the event.

A special award was given to Shri Praveen Mishra ED/NMRC for bringing up employment opportunity for transgender community. Shri VPS Komar, OSD to MD / NMRC was awarded for overall performance. The Awards for Metro Man and Metro Woman of the Year were given to Mr. Abhishek Sharma and Ms. Deepika Surya respectively. Sector-137 Metro Station was awarded as Best Cleaned / Maintained Station. A total of 37 NMRC employees were awarded for exemplary work in their fields.

The winners of the Sports Competition, Rangoli competition and participants of the cultural programme were also felicitated.
