CELEBRATION OF 76TH INDEPENDENCE DAY IN NMRC

On August 15, 2022, NMRC celebrated 76th Independence Day with full fervour, zeal and enthusiasm. This is a special day for the nation that as India has completed 75 years as an independent nation, so when Government of India is celebrating like “Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”.

NMRC today celebrated this auspicious day by remembering the significant contribution and sacrifice made by freedom fighters and heros of nation in India's Independence. Mrs. Ritu Maheshwari, MD/NMRC accompanied by Shri Praveen Mishra, Executive Director / NMRC hoisted the national flag on the occasion and received guard of honor from guard commandant present on the occasion. All officers and employees present sang the national anthem and paid tribute to the nation and the national flag.

NMRC also joined in celebrations organised across the country “Har Ghar Trianga campaign” which is being held under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In this campaign, NMRC hoisted the National flag at NMRC Head Office, Stations, Depots, Staff quarters & City Bus depot. NMRC distributed national flags among their employees so that employees of NMRC shall be inspired to hoist the National Flag at their homes with pride to signify their participation in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative taken by the Government.

Celebrating this special day with NMRC, Students of Jagran Public School showcased their skills by singing songs and dance performance on patriotic songs. MD NMRC congratulated the students of Jagran Public School and praised their performance.

While addressing NMRC team MD NMRC congratulated operations team for achieving the highest ever ridership of 42,059 on 10.08.2022 and for providing world class facility to our commuters. She further mentioned that NMRC still needs to reach its projected ridership with the continuous efforts.

She mentioned that every year NMRC comes up with the new initiatives like establishment of Pink station, Pride station etc. Similarly, this year NMRC has come up with the birthday policy, film shooting policy and training program which has become popular. She further praised HR initiative for imparting successful internship training to 400 students. MD mentioned that NMRC should be fully prepared to take the challenges to be encountered in extension projects.
